Spatial Interview Studio

Interviewee setup — follow the steps in order.

1Calibrate your screen

Hold a credit card flat against the purple box, then move the slider until the box matches the card's width exactly.

2Your iPhone

Drag the phone outline, call-window box, or preview individually — or drag the empty background to move them all together.

3Connect your phone

If you haven't already, download and open the TIR Studio app on your iPhone and scan this code, or enter the session code manually. When your phone joins, the Connect button below will glow yellow — click it to link the camera.

4Environment setup

Choose and set up your background, check your lighting, and keep the camera straight on and parallel to your face — not angled up at you. Position yourself about an arm's length (~1 m / 3 ft) from the camera.

5Your call window

If you haven't already, start your Zoom, FaceTime or Google Meet call, then drag that window into the dashed box next to the phone's cameras. Keeping your eye line near the lenses makes it look like you're speaking directly to the interviewer in the episode.
